Country’s highest-paying jobs that don’t need a degree

It’s A-level results day on Thursday 14 August, and although some will be jumping for joy at their grades, others may be a little disappointed, reports Jessica Lindsay for Metro.

A clean sweep and a place at university are certainly worth celebrating, but if you decide not to go onto further education – whatever the reason – there are still plenty of options available. As research from online learning platform Laba shows, you don’t have to have donned a cap and gown to earn an impressive salary. In fact, its analysis of over 2,000 United Kingdom vacancies revealed a number of industries where you can take home over £42,000 (US$57,000) a year without getting into student debt – and most roles can be done from home.

The majority of the jobs featured in the top five are in marketing and branding, where formal qualifications are less important than creativity and problem-solving.
