France to hand over biotech lab to University of Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe’s scientific and academic landscape is set for a major transformation as France is handing over a new biotechnology laboratory to the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), writes Nqobizwe Thebe for News Day.The facility, established under the PACMAN (Pathogen Contamination Management) project, is a product of collaboration between the French Development Agency, the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development, the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development and UZ.
The new lab is expected to boost research and innovation in biotechnology, benefiting scientists and students by providing a modern platform for cutting-edge experimentation, diagnostics and training.
