Ministry unveils list of joint foreign university degrees
The education ministry in Greece has presented an initial list of 59 proposals from Greek universities for collaborative masters degree programmes with 50 universities in the United States and Europe, writes Apostolos Lakasas for Ekathimerini.A total of 132 proposals were submitted by universities, with the final evaluation of these proposals to be conducted by the National Authority for Higher Education. The 59 proposals presented appear to have received preliminary approval due to the prestigious reputation of the foreign universities involved and the innovative nature of the proposed academic subjects.
New York-based Columbia University stands out, ranking first among the foreign universities involved in the collaborative masters degree programmes, with six proposed programmes. Other notable universities included in the 59 proposals are Switzerland’s ETH Zurich, Harvard, Sorbonne, Boston University, Imperial College London, Heidelberg University, and Yale.
