All leading universities have Chinese partners – Minister
Belarusian and Chinese universities are building long-term practical contacts, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Lukashevich said in an interview with BelTA.“Higher education institutions of Belarus and China have signed more than 700 direct cooperation agreements. Currently, more than 12,000 Chinese students study at educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus. About 1,500 Belarusians study in China,” he noted.
Lukashevich said all leading Belarusian universities have projects with Chinese partners. “Belarusian educational institutions run Sinology institutes and classes named after Confucius. Centers for Belarusian Studies operate at Chinese universities. The establishment of the Association of Universities of Belarus and China was very opportune,” the diplomat added.
