Students ask for previous class schedule to be reinstated
The Youth Movement of Kyrgyzstan has asked the authorities to consider reinstatement of the previous schedule of classes in universities in Bishkek, reports AKIpress.com.The start of classes in universities was shifted to 10 am in a move to reduce traffic jams in the capital. The Youth Movement said it received lots of complaints from university students over the changed start of classes. Some students end classes at 6 pm – 7 pm.
“Such schedule has not resolved the problem of traffic jams in the capital, making it difficult for students to work to earn money for rent of apartments and tuition and to take additional training courses,” the Youth Movement said. “We believe problems of students, who are [an] integral part of the youth, should be taken into account,” the movement said.
