Ministry to limit third-country students in private HE
The cabinet in Cyprus has approved a proposal by the Ministry of Education to limit the number of incoming third-country (non-EU) students in private higher education institutions for the 2024-25 academic year, reports en.philenews.Deputy Government Spokesman Yiannis Antoniou announced that the decision allows students from Council of Europe countries to enrol in these institutions without restrictions, up to the total capacity of each institution. Antoniou emphasised that this regulation is temporary, applicable only for the upcoming academic year, and includes strict conditions to balance the goal of attracting students with the Republic’s immigration policy.
