Russia, Iran to agree on mutual recognition of HE diplomas

According to Hadi Goudarzi, counsellor of the Iranian Embassy in the Russian Federation, Russia and Iran are planning to conclude an agreement on mutual recognition of university diplomas, reports Tass.

The document will cover the recognition of bachelor, masters, postgraduate and doctoral diplomas. The document is already in the final stage of discussion and is expected to be signed at the level of the governments of both countries in the near future.

“More than 90% of the agreement is ready; I think it will be signed at the level of the governments of Iran and Russia in the near future,” Goudarzi said. In addition, Russia and Iran have already started active cooperation in the field of science and university co-operation within the BRICS framework. There are plans to prepare new treaties on scientific and practical co-operation within the framework of the association in the future.
