Astronomy academy and university explore collaboration

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences and Technology (SAASST) at the University of Sharjah in the UAE has welcomed a delegation from Lomonosov Moscow State University to discuss potential collaborations in research and projects related to astronomy and space sciences, reports Gulf Today.

The visit aimed to familiarise the Russian delegation with SAASST’s scientific departments, facilities, and activities, as well as explore opportunities for joint participation in national and international conferences.

During the visit, the Russian delegation was provided with a comprehensive overview of various SAASST units, including the Research Laboratories, Optical Observatories, and the esteemed Sharjah Planetarium. They were introduced to the ongoing research initiatives across multiple fields and had the chance to experience the cutting-edge technology showcased in the space exhibitions.
