Ministry to recruit 2,350 HE teachers for upcoming year

Morocco’s Minister of Higher Education Abdellatif Miraoui announced on 20 September, the recruitment of 2,350 teachers for the higher cycle for the 2022-2023 academic year, writes Aya Benazizi for Morocco World News.

“This is the first time that the government has devoted so many budgetary positions to higher education teachers,” the minister said at a press conference.

Among the 2,350 budgetary positions reserved for the Ministry of Higher Education, 760 positions are devoted to professors specialising in education sciences and medical studies, while nearly 1,600 positions are reserved for educational and administrative supervisors, Miraoui detailed. The Moroccan minister also announced the creation of a national platform of recruitment, as well as the establishment of a new recruitment procedure, “based on meritocracy, transparency, and equity”.
