University launches executive MBA for Chinese nationals

The University of Colombo, pioneer in the higher education sector of Sri Lanka, has taken a new step forward with the start of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme for Chinese nationals, reports Daily FT.

It is the first customised postgraduate programme offered by a public university in the country exclusively for foreign nationals. The inauguration ceremony was held recently at the auditorium of the faculty of management and finance, University of Colombo, with the presence of the chief guest, University of Colombo Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor HD Karunaratne.

The EMBA programme is a highly customised masters degree programme designed to enhance the capabilities, skills and qualifications of senior level managers. The newly launched programme for Chinese nationals will provide a platform to enhance their understanding of the Sri Lankan economy and business aspects which would accelerate their already successful careers in the country.
