Universities return to online learning – Egyptian embassy
Ukraine’s Bogomolets National Medical University and VN Karazin Kharkiv National University have resumed classes with online learning in the spring semester 2021-22 for foreign students who are not in the country currently due to the Russian invasion, reports Ahram Online.The Egyptian embassy in Kyiv published two letters it received from Bogomolets University and Karazin Kharkiv University on Sunday 3 April on its official Facebook page.
The letters were sent in response to an inquiry by the embassy about the status of Egyptian students enrolled in Ukrainian universities. Before the Russian invasion, around 6,000 Egyptians lived in Ukraine, including 3,000 students, according to officials. So far, 80% of Egyptian students in Ukraine have left for other European countries, especially Poland.
