DRC: Italians discuss new university and research centre
A delegation from the Vatican has visited Kinshasa to discuss a major joint project to build a new university and a cancer research centre in the Democratic Republic of Congo, reports La Prospérité.The Italians held talks with Léonard Masu-Ga-Rugamika, Minister of University Higher Education and Research of the DR Congo. According to the leader of the delegation, M Antoine Nicolella, this visit is one of several exchanges which aim to conclude the construction plans.
The two parties are eager to form a partnership between the Congolese government and the Italian entrepreneurs for the benefit of both states. A 40 hectare site has been made available for the university.
