Pakistan to send food for stranded students in China

The Pakistan government is to send food items to Pakistani students stranded in China due to the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic, announced Zulfiqar Bukhari, special assistant to the prime minister on overseas Pakistanis, according to an APP report in the Express Tribune, Pakistan.

He said there were 1,300 Pakistani students known to be stranded in China and the Overseas Pakistanis Ministry was keeping in constant contact with their parents.

He added that “Pakistan has made effective measures to tackle the coronavirus threat compared to other countries, due to which the country remained successful to a great extent in virus protection.”
