Indian students to move to 'safer' universities

After two months of uncertainty, there's some good news for Indian students studying medicine and other professional courses in eastern Ukraine. They will be transferred to other universities in safer parts of the country, reports The Times of India.

Students from Tamil Nadu have booked their tickets for Ukraine to continue their studies after the extended vacation and much apprehension.

Deputy chief of mission in the Indian embassy in Ukraine Yojna Patel told TOI: "The situation is relatively better. Students currently enrolled in the universities in Donetsk and Luhansk regions are moving to [the] western part of Ukraine where the situation is stable. The embassy is in constant touch with the Ukranian government to ensure our students' welfare".
