University to boost overseas intake with feeder school

A leading university is to boost its number of overseas students with the creation of a feeder college on campus to prepare them for their studies, reports icScotland.

Strathclyde University in Glasgow said up to 300 extra foreign students will enter the university each year after undertaking foundation programmes at the college based at its city-centre campus. Run in partnership with education provider Study Group, the International Study Centre is designed to prepare international undergraduate and postgraduate students for university life. The first students will start in September, with successful students transferring to Strathclyde University courses in September 2014.
