US: Hult opens campus in California

Hult International Business School has opened its newest campus in San Francisco, California, in the hope that local businesses will see this as an opportunity to recruit business graduates from their own community.

Originally based in Boston as the Arthur D Little School of Management, Hult's San Francisco campus is the fifth campus added since 2007. The others include international locations in London, Dubai and Shanghai.

The San Francisco campus is offering programmes such as masters in business administration and masters in international business. The campus will also be offered to Hult's international students as a destination for completing their programme's elective courses.

"We see this as a fantastic opportunity for our students to study in a city which is home to some of the world's most innovative and creative business minds, and at the same time have access to some of the world's most attractive career opportunities," said Hult President Dr Stephen Hodges.

By opening a campus in San Francisco, Hult hopes the innovation in industries specific to California, such as green technology, medicine and information technology, will help develop its business programmes.

The campus is located along the waterfront, walking distance from the financial district. Its opening took place on 28 September with guest speaker Steven Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, kicking off the festivities.
