New university campus planned in Dundo

Plans for a new university campus at Dundo in Angola have been presented by the education authority of the University Luej-a-Nkond, or ULAN.

The US$1 million project includes faculties of law, economics and a biomedical sciences institute, as well as accommodating the École Supérieure Pédagogique, the ULAN education authority, library and study centre, reported Angop.

The 1,000 hectare campus, on which work will start in 2015, also features leisure and sports facilities, lecture theatres and housing for students, reported Angop. It has been designed to standards of modern architecture by the Angolan firm Poliform.

ULAN serves the north-eastern provinces of Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul and Malanje with its headquarters at Dundo, the administrative centre of Lunda Norte.
